COMMUNITY GRATITUDE JOURNAL

I thought it only seemed right to add a space where we could all go to write about the things we are thankful for. I know for myself that it can be too easy to get caught up in the things that aren't going my way, or the things that I wish were different, and cause myself unecessary stress.

When I relax and start to think about all that I do have to be thankful for, I find that there is plenty! Some times I get on a roll and keep writing and some mornings all I can think of is "I am grateful because I got myself out of bed". Write it down. Either way you will find that one good thought deserves another...actually, one good thought breeds another until eventually you feel like you are the most blessed person there is and have shifted your state to one of allowing, no matter what your current circumstances.  You will find that because you feeeel grateful, you will attract much more to be grateful for...I promise!

So, don't be afraid...write a little, share a little (or a lot)... think of at least one thing you are grateful for and post it online...I dare you!

Come on, I'll go first...

I am grateful for the internet that allows us all to come together in a way we have never experienced before! I am grateful for my willingness to learn and grow, I am grateful for my friends and family and my loveable animals. I am grateful for my ability to move and see and hear and love. I am grateful for this day, and I am grateful for the excellent night's sleep I am about to have! And So It Is. Amen.

There is no right or wrong way...Just Do It!

I am thankful for new friends and my growing abilities as a healer and light worker. I am thankful for my body that is getting stronger and more fit each day! I am thankful for my growing abilities to love and accept myself as I am.

I am grateful for this beautiful November day, and for having the chance to spend it with my brother. I am thankful for nature and for life itself. I have a deep sense of gratitude for my compassion for human beingness. All of it's joys and sorrows. Life is a miraculous gift and I am grateful for the times that I am truly aware of this fact. Like right now. I am thankful for my present moment. Amen.

Here's what some experts have to say in support of the power of living in the higher energetic state of gratitude:

“You must focus on healing yourself so you’ll have this healing ability to offer others. If you reach a level of blissful illumination, where you’re reconnected to the Source and are harmonized vibrationally, you begin to radiate the energy that converts disease to health.”

- Mahatma Ghandi

“Bring higher/spiritual energy to the presence of lower/diseased energy, and it not only nullifies the lower energy, but converts it to healthy spiritual energy. In the field of energy medicine where these principles are being applied, tumors are bombarded with exceptionally high laser-energy that dissolves and converts them to healthy tissue. Energy medicine is the discipline of the future, and relies on the ancient spiritual practice of being the change, or healing others first by healing ourselves.”

- Dr. Wayne Dyer, The Power of Intention

“In every studied case of recovery from hopelessness and untreatable disease, there has been a major shift in consciousness, so that the attractor patterns that resulted in the pathologic process no longer dominated.”

- David R. Hawkins, M.D., PhD., Power vs. Force

“Just as the subatomic particles that compose us cannot be separated from the space and particles surrounding them, so living beings cannot be isolated from each other. . .By the act of observation and intention, we have the ability to extend a kind super-radiance to the world”

- Lynne Mc Taggart, The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe

“Studies show that when we are thinking creatively, or when we are feeling peaceful, or when we’re feeling love, those emotions generate a very coherent electromagnetic field. And that electromagnetic field is broadcast to the rest of your body. . .

In a healthy body, this synchronicity is perfectly regulated. Healthy people are firmly locked into these rhythms. When disease occurs, one of those rhythms has gone awry. Stress is the biggest disrupter. If you’re stressed, if you’re feeling hostile, your body’s balance gets thrown off. When you are experiencing disease (“dis-ease”), then some part of your body is beginning to get constricted… The immune system gets suppressed, which leads to other problems, such as increased susceptibility to cancer, infections, and accelerated aging.”

- Deepak Chopra, The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire

"It's not easy being grateful all the time. But it's when you feel least thankful that you are most in need of what gratitude can give you."

- Oprah, O Magazine - Gratitude issue, November, 2000

I am grateful for the lessons I learned today, and the laughter I shared with others. I look forward to a prosperous and joyous tomorrow.

I am enormously grateful for a strong, flexible and resilient physical presence. My rewards of good posture and a cheerful countenance come directly from loving my body (regardless of its defects or imperfections).
